The MAIN HOUSE has 18 solar panels that produce 14 KWH on a sunny day. Total utilities for the month of September were $35.00. The metal roof is made of heavy reflective Galvalum. There is a 600 square foot covered and screened patio area (stressed for future sun deck on top), a fireplace plus a Vermont Castings Wood Stove, central air and heat, and energy efficient sealed double paned windows throughout. There are 5 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, open concept kitchen-family room, living room, pantry, laundry, and 2-car carport. Floors are parquet wood or ceramic tile, with carpeting in the living room.
The GUEST HOUSE has extra thick insulated walls 2 x 6 construction with framing for a solar chimney, energy efficient sealed double paned windows throughout, heat pump air/heat unit (utilities are independent from the main house), 2 bedrooms including one which has a folding wall that opens into the living room, 1 bath, open concept kitchen, screen room, with an oversized unfinished attic. Floors are carpet or linoleum tile.
Other features include a WORKSHOP, PUMP HOUSE, BARN and ANIMAL SHED, with FENCES around the entire property, and PAVED DRIVEWAY. The main house is set back 150 feet from the road with the Guest house directly behind, just off the patio.
